Run Towards the Roar

Not having a a big mane helps the lionesses sneak up on their prey.  The male lions let out a menacing roar to get the prey to run in the opposite direction from wherever it came.  This sends them towards the real threat, the lioness stalking in the tall grass.  This instinctive decision may be the last choice the antelope or gazelle makes.

This happens too often in our own lives.  We run from our fears, not knowing that what is on the other side of them. It may not seem logical, but when you feel this fear you must run towards the roar, it may not be as bad as what's waiting for you on the other side .  "Smooth seas never made a skilled sailor".  God calls us to face our fears to live trusting Him.  "You can't ignore fear, but you don't have to let it control you.  True bravery isn't feeling no fear. It's being afraid and moving forward anyway."
