7 Step Prayer Process

Perhaps the day gets away from you and you forget to pray.  Rather than going to bed without praying because you don't have the will or the energy to pray for 10 minutes, you can shorten the experience.  Take just one minute. Yes, one sinlge minute.  You can still go through each of the 7 steps, but just speak one line to God about one thing in each step. 1. Gratitude     - Begin by thinking of a personal dialogue for whatever you are most grateful for today. 2. Awareness     -Revisit the times in the past 24 hours that you were and were not the best version of yourself.  Talk to God about these situations and what you learned from them. 3. Significant Moments     -Identify something you experienced today and explore what God might be trying to say to you through that event (or person). 4. Peace     -Ask God to forgive you for any wrong you have committed (against yourself, another person, or Him) and to fill you with a deep and abiding peace. 5. Freedom     -Speak with God

Roots of Prayer

There is a storm coming. How do I know? Because there always is. It might be days away, weeks or months, or even years.  But it is coming.  Nobody goes through this life without encountering some storms. A tornado blew through our neighborhood a few nights ago.  The next day, hundreds of trees had been torn down.  Other trees looked untouched.   What is the difference between the two trees, side by side, one gets blown to the ground and the other continues to stand tall? Strong roots .  A tree with strong roots can weather almost any storm.  A tree with deep roots bears great fruit, for it can source the water and nutrients it needs from the Earth. Sink the roots of the daily habit of prayer deep into your life.  Is there a storm coming? Life has really taught me that this is the wrong question.  "When will the storm get here?"  is more appropriate.  Life has also taught me that when the storm arrives it is too late to start sinking those roots. So, don't delay.  Begin pr

Experiencing Jesus

Jesus intends for you to experience the pleasure and reassuring peace of His presence at the core of your life.  He wants to be more than just another volume in your encyclopedia of biblical facts.  He didn't die for you to simply strike a deal guaranteeing heaven.  He died for you to make you His own and to grant you the unspeakable privilege of growing intamacy with Him. Paul wrote to the early followers of Jesus, "He (God) is the one who invited you into this wonderful friendship with his Son, Jesus Christ." Corinthians1:9     -It's not some tedious morning routine, it's truly getting to know Jesus.     -I t's about feeling His nearness on the journey.     -It's about unshakable confidence that only His presence can give.     -It's about having courage in the face of previously intimidating encounters.     -It's about access to wisdom and unfailing guidance.     -It's about a closeness that enables your spirit to commune with Him, anyw

Uncovering the Enemy's Tactics

When you give a curse a cause, or open the door to the devil.  Demonic spirits can and do destroy the lives of people out of the protection of God's walls. 1.) Withdrawal From Social Interaction     Continual withdrawal shows signs of demonic activity.  Usually people withdrawal to avoid judgement.  For me, it is a combination of this and withdrawling to not hurt people's feelings or ruin their day with my negativity. 2.)  A Tormented Mental State     It is not normal to suffer so much mentally that you want to hurt yourself or kill yourself. 3.)  Chronic Depression     The devil doesn't want you to enjoy God's gifts, he wants to torment you until you take your own life.  Death is Satan's ultimate goal for you. 4.)  Irrational Fears and Phobias     Demons are full of fear and they want to spread it around.  God hasn't given us a spirit of fear and doubt, but of power, love, and a sound mind. 5.)  Chronic Restlessness      Constant urgency to be on the m

How to Avoid Inviting Curses Into Your Life

A curse cannot stick to one of God's children, whom He has blessed.  However, you can bring a curse upon yourself.     Idol Worship Invites a Curse      - Involvment in false religions opens a door to the occult.  Anything that is worshipped that isn't God will bring you down a destructive path.     Sexual Immorality Invites a Curse     - We share a lot more than time when we have sex.  A bridge forms between us and we invite the other person's bondages onto us as well. Be careful who you lay with as their problems become your's as well.     Anti-Semitism Invites a Curse     - God promised to bless those who bless Israel, and curse those who curse it.  If you have a problem with Jews, you have a problem with Jesus. The only way to get to heaven is through Jesus after all.     Negative Words or Speech Invites a Curse     - God creates the fruit of your lips, good or rotten.  Negative words gives Satan a license to bring out the destructive things you talk about int

Who Am I (BlackWasp)

Hello there,  My Name is Adam. Tag name : BlackWasp I was brought on by my good friend,Rico, whom I am pleased to call a brother. My story charts me back to 1996.15.09 I grew up in a low income lifestyle and in that my life wasn’t peaches and cream by no means. Life brought me mental illness at at very young age. More specifically a Seizure Disorder. My eldest brother also had it but long grew out of it. So they say. I do not believe so that a Seizure is something you outgrow. It is something that requires extreme care and prayer.  As of recent I was praying to my Heavenly Father and remember the pain and sadness of those around and myself. The unknowing when I was going to have an attack. The feeling of it being in control of your actions. It was so speak humiliating in public and alienable. I remember being treated different because of my disorder. My mother would sacrifice her work and money to tend to me. She was a single parent whom later in life married and I had a step father… A

Prayer for Confidence

Jesus I believe in you,  I trust in you,  and I place my hope in you . But at times I have doubts,  I get anxious and worry,  I think I have to take care of everything myself,  and I can get discouraged and even depressed. Liberate me from my arrogance and fill me with humility,  so I can live confidently in your love and your light. Amen. - Rediscover the Saints by Matthew Kelly

Judging Others is a Sin

"Whenever I judge another believer, four things instantly happen: I lose fellowship with God, I expose my own pride and insecurity, I set myself up to be judged by God, and I harm my fellowship with the Church.  A critical spirit is a costly vice.  The Bible calls Satan ' the accuser of our brothers '.  It's the Devil's job to blame, complain, and criticize members of God's family.  Anytime we do the same, we are being duped into doing Satan's work for him.  Remember, other Christians, no matter how much you disagree with them, are not the real enemy.  Any time we spend comparing or criticizing other belieivers is time that should have been spent building the unity of our fellowship.  The Bible says, ' Let's agree to use all our energy in getting along with each other.  Help others with encouraging words; don't drag them down by finding fault. 7 Step Guide to Peacemaking

"Blessed are those who work for peace."       - Jesus      Peacemaking is not avoiding conflict at all costs, running from a problem, or pretending it doesn't exist.  That's cowardice.  Jesus, the Prince of Peace, was never afraid of conflict.  He even provoked it sometimes, for the greater good.  Sometimes we need to avoid conflict, sometimes we need to create it, and other times we need to resolve it.  That is why we must pray for the Holy Spirit's continual guidance.     Peacemaking is also not appeasement.  Always giving in like a doormat, and allowing others to run all over you is not what Jesus had in mind.  In the face of an evil opposition we must stand our ground.     Here are seven biblical steps to restoring fellowship:     1.  Talk to God before talking to the person.     If you pray first about the conflict rather than gossiping to a friend, you will discover that God either changes your heart or He changes the other person without your help.

Run Towards the Roar

Not having a a big mane helps the lionesses sneak up on their prey.  The male lions let out a menacing roar to get the prey to run in the opposite direction from wherever it came.  This sends them towards the real threat, the lioness stalking in the tall grass.  This instinctive decision may be the last choice the antelope or gazelle makes.       This happens too often in our own lives.  We run from our fears, not knowing that what is on the other side of them. It may not seem logical, but when you feel this fear you must run towards the roar, it may not be as bad as what's waiting for you on the other side .  "Smooth seas never made a skilled sailor".  God calls us to face our fears to live trusting Him.  "You can't ignore fear, but you don't have to let it control you.  True bravery isn't feeling no fear. It's being afraid and moving forward anyway." Quotes from: - Take Back Your Life by Levi Lusko

Humility

Humility is not thinking less of yourself; it is thinking of yourself less. Humility is thinking more of others.  Humble people are so focused on serving others, they don't think of themselves. - The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren

21 Things the Devil Cannot Do

1.  The Devil Cannot Be Like God      - The devil longs for the allegiance and worship that belongs only to God 2.  The Devil Cannot Understand the Ways and Word of God     - His defeat is stated in Revelations which can only be understood through the revelation of God's Holy Spirit 3.  The Devil Cannot Resist the Name of Jesus     - Every knee shall bend at the name of Jesus, even Satan cannot resist 4.  The Devil Cannot Stop the Power of the Gospel     - The Gospel is the power of God.  Salvation goes beyond forgiveness to include healing, peace, deliverance, restoration, and everything else we need.  The devil cannot stop your inherent blessings. 5.  The Devil Cannot Escape His Fate in Revelation 20:10     - He is headed towards the lake of fire.  When you tries to show you your sorry past; show him his sorry future instead.  As a believer you've already escaped. 6.  The Devil Cannot Get Saved     - Salvation is for the "seed of Abraham" those in a flesh and blood

The Armor of God

“Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” - Ephesians 6 : 10-17           Wake up in the morning and put on your armor of God. We must pray to get our heart in the right place so that
